Requirements

Job Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with customers, mortgage companies, and team members to collect outstanding accounts and improve cash flow. 
• Analyze files to determine appropriate collections activities, including invoicing, preparing written correspondence, securing timely mechanics liens, and communicating verbally with customers daily. 
• Maintain diligent notes of communications with customers and initiate follow-up actions. 
• Prepare detailed and accurate reporting of the status of accounts and provide recommendations on resolving open accounts. 
• Ensure the security and privacy of customer information and files. 
• Creates invoices according to company practices utilizing invoicing software. 
• Assist with other projects in the accounting department as appropriate. 

Job Qualifications (Required Skills):

• Two to five years of experience in a collections or accounts receivable role is required. 
• Construction industry experience and expertise in securing timely mechanics and liens in Texas are highly valued! 
• Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail! 
• Ability to thrive while collaborating in a team environment. 
• Willingness to incorporate new technology to advance processes. 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. 

Education: 

• A high school diploma is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits: 

• Competitive base salary based on experience, plus quarterly bonus structure.
• Ten (10) days of paid time off (PTO) per year.
