Job Description
Responsibilities for Accounts Payable
- Timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and credit card expenditures
- Reviewing all invoices and credit card expenditures for appropriate documentation and approval, prior to payment
- Ensuring invoices are properly coded
- Answering questions from vendors and clients
- Processing electronic bill payments
- Maintaining vendor files
- Maintaining W-9s and preparing 1099s
- Reconciling vendor statements, including researching and correcting discrepancies
- Assisting in month-end closing
- Maintaining files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- 1-5 years experience for entry-level positions
- Relevant experience using modern communication systems, including email and phone systems
- Expert-level experience using productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- A desire and ability to work collaboratively with others to accomplish daily goals
- A high degree of accuracy
- Great attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to calculate and manage accounting figures
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
