Hillsdale is a small companion animal practice in the heart of Hillsdale neighborhood in Portland, OR that is looking for our next medically excellent leader ready to take the hospital to the next level. We’ve got big dreams, and we want you to help realize yours too! 

The Medical Director (MD) position provides strategic direction, coaching, and mentoring to the Associate Veterinarians to ensure safe, consistent, efficient, therapeutic, and ethical patient care and outstanding client service. They will collaborate with the Practice Manager to develop a hospital annual operating plan. They will own the own the responsibility of developing and maintaining the minimum Standards of Care. The MD understands they will wear many hats and will be passionate about clinical excellence, leadership, recruiting, retention and advocating for the growth of Mission Veterinary Partners (MVP). 

Our current Medical Director has over 25 years of experience in the Portland veterinary community and would love to mentor the next Leader as he steps back from full time practice . We are committed to supporting our team through career development, leadership development, continuing education, and supporting personal goals.

Our hospital is fully equipped with electronic medical records, in-house diagnostics, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and laser therapy. Each pet will be treated according to his or her individual needs, not some preset protocol or policy. Our room to expand the clinic means room to grow our capacity for advanced procedures in the future, and we would love to invest in you. Requirements:

• Licensed Oregon Veterinarian (Active & Clear).
• Excellent, demonstrated medical and surgical skills
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, DVMs, and teammates to build a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
• 3 years’ DVM experience
• 1 years Leadership experience desired but not required
