Looking for a Treatment Technician to join our team.

Hours are Sunday through Thursday 2p to 10pm

Job Description: A Treatment Technician’s, main responsibility is caring for the resident. This involves following the Kardex's set up by the facility for proper administration procedures.

As a Treatment Technician you are responsible to assist residents with their daily needs when this is asked of you.

Your main priority however is making sure each resident gets the appropriate treatment at the appropriate time.

Main duties of the Treatment Technician are as follows Administer treatments such as, nebulizers, inhalers, eye/ear drops, Ted stockings, blood pressures, pulses and temperatures Administering lotions, creams, ointments, dressings, ace wraps, ostomy care and foot soaks. Ordering of treatment supplies; stock and maintain treatment cart.

Check all supplies for accuracy and expirations

Check all faxes sent to Doctors. Check all Kardexes daily for compliancy.

Prepare Monthly Kardex's Assist with monthly residents weights Reality Orientation and enhancing residents quality of life Signing for all care provided Any task requested by your supervisor or nurse Skill Requirements: Intellectual Must be responsible, consistent and able to meet commitments. Must have good judgment and know when additional assistance is required. Must be able to multi-task and be able to organize and structure responsibility.

Must have solid time management and organizational skills.

Social: Good communication skills are necessary, if you are not a people person; this job is not a good match for you.

Must be able to treat people who need assistance with kindness and respect, regardless of the patient’s mood or your mood. Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Able to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Physical requirements. Must be able to lift perform physical activity that require moving ones whole body, such as in climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, bending and pushing, where the activities often also require considerable use of the arms and legs, such as in the physical handling of materials. Employees must not have any weight restrictions to avoid injury Compliance requirements

Must have Valid NYS Drivers license

Must have documentation of MMR’s (Measles, Mumps and Rubella, showing an immune result.

Must have current (within 30 days of employment) Physical Must have current PPD test with a negative result,

Must complete or attend 12 In-services per year if HHA certified Medical

Knowledge skills: Basic assessment skills; Blood Pressures, temperatures, pulse and standard first aid, Basic medical terminology, Universal Precaution
