QualificationsAble to work in a standing position for prolonged periods. Able to lift materials weighing up to 45 pounds. Able to be exposed to heat while cooking and preparing foods. Has manual dexterity to handle knives and other pieces of kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers and steamers. Hazards may include, but are not limited to cuts from knives and slicers, burns. Citizenship, residency or work visa required. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and adhering to food safety proceduresProduces appealing, nutritious meals and snacks to maintain and grow the program participation and satisfaction for both students and adults. Ensures proper serving temperature and palatability of food prior to serving. Ensures proper portion control measures are followed to eliminate food shortages and minimize waste. Maintains an appropriate level of sanitation in the facility following safe food handling practices. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Manager or the Food Service Director and/or Assistant Food Service Director.
