Growing CPA firm in the Annapolis area is looking to add a strong Sr. Accountant and/or Accounting Manager to their team. Must have public accounting experience.
Location: Annapolis, MD (you must be local, no international candidates or relocations)
In-office: In-office 5x a week for first 3-4 months, then shifts to hybrid
Compensation: $90-120k base bonus great benefits
Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounting and finance needs for multiple clients, varying in size and complexity.
- Oversee the preparation of general ledger journal entries, fixed asset tracking, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements in conformity with GAAP.
- Regular communication with clients to review their financial and accounting activities.
- Complete and manage various accounting related projects for multiple clients.
- Manage client work and produce deliverables. Build strong client relationships.
- Supervise a small team (1-2 staff)
Qualifications:
- 5 years' experience in public accounting
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
- Licensed CPA or CPA candidate, helpful but not required.
