Must Have Skills –Important:Industry portability. Complex, high transaction volume, data driven, high customer focus, creative industries with scale (ideal), but open to additional industries that share similar characteristics.
Demonstrate experience working for $100M revenue company managing all areas of accounting for 3 - 5 years and 4 - 5 team members .
The ideal candidate will have public accounting (1-3 years) and private company operational accounting experience (3 - 5 years).
Intellectually curious and able to manage current state while driving continuous improvement (demonstrated by work history/impact).
Candidate RequirementsMinimum requirements a candidate must meet
5 years of experience in a relevant accounting role (including 3 in a management role overseeing 4 people)
BS degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
Working Knowledge of GAAP.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google sheets formulas (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
Experience with multi-state payroll processing and payroll taxes for out of state employees.
Expert in Microsoft Office applications (Excel), Google Sheets, and QB/QuickBooks Online.
Strong Analytical and Organization skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to multitask and work under pressure, thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated experience in managing a team of 4 - 5 accounting and finance team members in a high growth, tech enabled service business.
Comfortable and experienced working with deadlines and willing to work extended hours at time to meet obligations.
Demonstrated problem solving skills leveraging analytics, technology and process support across teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage high volume data sets in complex operations, reconciliations and leveraging data insights to validate financial performance.
CPA license ideal, but not required.
Exceptional organization and communication skills.
Manager level (managed at least 3) in account management/client success at:
Proactive and collaborative self-starter with a strong ability to attract other top technical talent and lead them effectively.
Proactive Communication Architect
Highly pragmatic and able to manage tradeoffs thoughtfully; fast-moving startup rather than “corporate” mindset.
Nice-to-havesWhat could make your candidate stand out
Knowledge of SQL.
Experience in B2B SaaS, AdTech/MarTech.
