Senior Accountant - Real Estate
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Commercial real estate experience preferred
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field or equivalent work experience
- Excel and MRI experience preferred (pivots, lookups a plus)
- Must demonstrate problem solving abilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work and work under deadlines
- Detailed oriented and possess good organizational skills
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial and job cost reporting for various projects and partnerships
- Review lease input, billing adjustments, and monthly tenant billings
- Review of annual and/or quarterly CAM, CPI, Real Estate Tax and Insurance billings
- Review Percentage-rent sales calculations
- Assist in reconciling tenant balances and handle tenant-billing questions
- Maintain depreciation and amortization schedules annually and /or quarterly
- Assist with external audits and budget preparation
- Review FASB13 rental adjustments and maintain information in MRI
- Prepare monthly bank statement and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and enter monthly journal entries
- Review payables for coding and review check-selection report for payments
