What You’ll Do
- Own the Numbers: Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for direct and ceded transactions with precision and accountability.
- Keep It Balanced: Reconcile cash accounts with premium reports to ensure every dollar is accounted for.
- Set the Standard: Drive the preparation of quarterly and annual statutory filings, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Regulate and Report: Partner with compliance teams to complete required data submissions on time.
- Be the Audit Whisperer: Provide seamless support during external audits, identifying ways to enhance processes and efficiencies.
- Automate for Impact: Lead the charge in implementing reporting tools to expedite financial cycles and improve accuracy.
- Collaborate Across Borders: Work closely with claims, reinsurance, actuarial, and operational teams to resolve reconciling items and streamline workflows.
- Present with Purpose: Create compelling presentations for leadership and committees to guide key financial decisions.

What You Bring
- Industry Savvy: 4-6 years of accounting experience within the insurance sector, ideally in property & casualty operations, with a strong grasp of statutory reporting.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, reporting tools, and financial systems to streamline workflows and analyze data.
- Collaborative Energy: Exceptional communication skills to work effectively across diverse teams while maintaining independence when needed.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: A knack for identifying and implementing practical solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
