Hire Resolve's client is a leading Multi-disciplinary Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Geotechnical Engineer in San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities:
  • Field construction observation and testing, logging and sampling of exploratory borings and test pits, field mapping, performing various soil laboratory tests, and preparing technical documents
  • Opportunity to perform various other geotechnical consulting tasks, such as plan review, analysis, preparing technical deliverables, etc. and ultimately advance into project management role after gaining field experience
  • Full-time, non-exempt position with a competitive compensation, benefits package, and opportunity for future advancement within our firm. Compensation to be commensurate with experience
  • Typically approximately 40-hr per week average ( /- seasonally), with opportunity for seasonal overtime
  • We emphasize and encourage continuing education and professional development/advancement. Most work in this position can be applied toward State requirements for Professional Engineer (Civil) exam registration, and portions may be applicable towards Professional Geologist exam registration
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) in Geotechnical, Geological Engineering, Engineering Geology, or related course of study
  • Prior experience in geotechnical consulting (particularly field investigation and/or construction observation/testing) is beneficial, but qualified entry-level candidates will be considered and training will be provided
  • Candidates must have reliable transportation, maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record, be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ideal candidates should demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, prepare technical reports, work well both independently and as part of a team, be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic, and enjoy working outdoors
