Responsibilities:
- Geotechnical field construction observations and testing, including foundation excavations, grading, and drainage installation
- Preparation of daily field reports
- Geotechnical laboratory testing
- Logging and sampling of exploratory borings and field mapping
- Full-time, non-exempt, hourly position
- Typically approximately 40-hr per week average ( /- seasonally), with opportunity for seasonal overtime
- Approximately 3 to 5 years of geotechnical technician work experience is ideal, but candidates with less experience may be considered
- High school diploma or GED, College course work in science/math/engineering is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook computer applications
- Self-motivated, dependable, with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Enjoy working outdoors
- Candidates must maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Reliable transportation (company field vehicle may be available for site visits)
- Salary: $70K/yr - $100K/yr negotiable
