Responsibilities:
- Technical design duties including performing multi-modal design documents, calculations, report writing, scheduling, and cost estimating
- Development of horizontal and vertical corridor design (streets, trails, etc.), including centerline alignments, vertical profiles, cross sections, and site grading
- The position will require coordination with internal project team members across several offices, including structural, geotechnical, traffic, and water resources engineers, as well as planners and landscape architects
- Coordination with subconsultants, public agencies, clients, participation in project meetings, and assisting with community engagement efforts as needed
- Participation in professional societies like ASCE, WTS, and ITE will be encouraged
- EIT or PE License in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and/or New Jersey
- BS or MS in Civil Engineering
- Experienced with AASHTO and NACTO design standards
- Strong interest in active transportation, complete streets, Vision Zero, and first/last mile solutions
- Involvement in professional societies and networking
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- A positive attitude and enthusiasm for design and working within a team
- Outstanding time management skills
- Passionate about alternative forms of transportation such as walking, cycling, and public transit
- Ability to balance multiple projects at once
- Salary: $75K/yr - $110K/yr negotiable
