Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Bridge Engineer in Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities:
- This position will provide the opportunity to work for a variety of public and private clients on all types of projects through planning, design, permitting and construction.
- Their work focuses on structural design on infrastructure projects, including bridges, waterfront infrastructure, and other horizontal construction projects on the West Coast region.
- Examples of Projects:
- Bridges
- Wharves and Piers
- Water Treatment Infrastructure
- Applies engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity
- Leverages technical knowledge, experience and client relationships to assist in the execution and evaluation of project designs
- Develops conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to support the project execution using current drawing and technical tools, programs and software
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (with a structural emphasis)
- M.S in Civil Engineering preferred (with a structural emphasis)
- EIT is required
- Concrete, steel, and timber coursework and /or design experience
- Pre-stressed concrete and seismic coursework and/or design experience
- Familiarity with non-linear analysis
- Ability to work dynamically with clients and project team members
- At least two years of full-time experience as a structural DE or equivalent is required
- Salary: $85K/yr - $100K/yr negotiable
