Associate Therapist for the Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is responsible for providing therapeutic services to adults with mental health and substance use disorders.
This position involves conducting individual and group therapy sessions, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
The Associate Therapist will support clients in achieving their recovery goals and improving their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Therapeutic Services:
Conduct individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
Facilitate psychoeducational and skills-building groups.
Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
Assessment and Treatment Planning:
Perform comprehensive assessments to determine clients' needs and appropriate level of care.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clients' strengths, needs, and goals.
Monitor and document clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and other therapists.
Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress and coordinate care.
Communicate with external providers, family members, and other stakeholders as needed.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all clinical activities in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information.
Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all clinical practices.
Professional Development:
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in mental health and substance use treatment.
Attend supervision sessions with a licensed therapist to enhance clinical skills and ensure quality care.
Qualifications
Master’s degree
Registered with BBS as an associate LMHC, LMHC-A, LSW, LCSW, LPCC
