About The RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wound Care Nurse to join our client's healthcare team in Metro Detroit. This role is essential in providing specialized care to patients with complex wound conditions. If you are dedicated to patient care and have expertise in wound management, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for patients with chronic and acute wounds.
- Perform wound evaluations, treatments, and follow-up care according to best practices and protocols.
- Educate patients and their families on wound care management and prevention.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all treatments and progress.
- Stay current with the latest wound care techniques and advancements.
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
- Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (CWOCN) or Wound Care Certification (WCC) is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care or a related field.
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
