HirefinderRPO is Hiring a Distillery Supervisor Near Augusta, KY

Our client is looking for a Distillery Supervisor.

This person will play a pivotal role in overseeing the construction, development, and operationalization of our distillery facility. They will work closely with various stakeholders, including the President, General Contractor, Architect, Engineers, and support groups, to ensure the successful completion of the distillery project. Additionally, the Distillery Supervisor will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of procedures, managing manufacturing processes, ensuring safety and compliance standards, optimizing workflow efficiency, and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead role in overseeing the construction process for the distillery, ensuring compliance with PID's and regulations to produce Bourbon Whiskey.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address construction-related issues and ensure timely completion of the project.

Oversee grain handling, stillage removal, and equipment handling procedures.

  • Ensure safety of all workers and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Operate automated distiller spirits processes using a PLC-based computer program and HMI.
  • Possess a full understanding of mechanical processes, including the operation of valves throughout the facility.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a distillery or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of distillery operations, including grain handling, stillage removal, and equipment handling.
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance standards in manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and make decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in operating PLC-based computer programs and HMIs.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical processes.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various environments, including confined spaces.
