Statutory Reporting Accountant:

Our client has an immediate opening for a self-motivated, resourceful, and well-organized candidate to join the team as a Statutory Reporting Accountant. The Statutory Reporting Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of financial results and compliance with statutory rules and guidelines for all our client’s insurance companies' quarterly and annual financial statement filings. The preferred candidate should possess a robust financial reporting background, focusing specifically on NAIC reporting. Reporting directly to the Manager of Statutory Reporting, you will collaborate closely with members of the Finance Team, auditors, our client's leaders, and other stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare and analyze NAIC-compliant statutory financial statements.
• Collaborate internally to ensure accurate financial data collection.
• Conduct research on accounting standards for compliance.
• Assist in preparing supporting schedules and footnotes.
• Support external and state audits.
• Maintain cross-functional statement preparation schedule.
• Participate in projects to enhance financial reporting efficiency.
• Perform other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with insurance annual statement preparation software.
• Knowledge of both statutory and GAAP accounting principles.
