Job Title : Certified Medication Aide

Location : Stafford Springs, CT 06076

Shift : Full-time (36 hrs. / week)

Salary : $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Responsibilities :

• Assist licensed nurses (RN or LPN / LVN) in providing safe and ethical care to clients.
• Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely, following state regulations and facility policies.
• Document medication administration and any observed reactions or changes in patient condition.
• Perform delegated nursing tasks under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed, ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of medication carts and patient care areas.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and report any concerns or issues promptly.

Requirements :

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification : Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in the state of Connecticut.
• Experience : Prior experience as a Certified Medication Aide preferred.
• Skills :
• Knowledge of medication administration practices and procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a healthcare team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
• Legal Compliance : Knowledge of and adherence to state regulations governing medication administration by Certified Medication Aides.
