Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Chemistry. You will be responsible for conducting a variety of chemical analyses on patient specimens to support diagnostic and therapeutic decisions. This role involves operating sophisticated laboratory equipment, performing tests with precision, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Job Description

Sample Processing and Analysis

• Perform routine and specialized chemical tests on biological samples (e.g., blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid) using automated and manual methods.
• Analyze samples for a range of chemical components, such as electrolytes, glucose, enzymes, proteins, and lipids.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through proper technique and equipment calibration.

Quality Assurance and Control

• Conduct regular quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and precision of laboratory tests.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Data Management

• Record and report test results in the laboratory information system (LIS) with accuracy and timeliness.
• Review and interpret test results and communicate findings to physicians and healthcare providers.
• Document all procedures and results in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Skills Required

• 1-year Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience.

Education/Training/Certifications

• Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree
• Valid license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist issued by NYSED, Primary Source Verification required. BLS preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Malpractice Insurance - All Credentialed Providers are required to have active individual Medical Malpractice.
• Shift Time: 12:00 AM-8:00 AM
