Job Description

Job Title: Front Desk – Permanent - Full Time – Monday – Friday – 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Location: Chevy Chase, MD

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for checking out patients.

  • Scheduling appointments

  • Preparing treatment plan on the spot

  • Presenting treatment plan

  • Presenting payment options

  • Charging patient for deposit for the next appointment

  • Charging patient for the treatment that has been done

  • Input all transactions in dental software

  • Run the end of the day confirming that all reports match

  • Run provider reports

  • Input information on website.

  • Scan insurance mailed documents to billing/insurance department

  • Coordinate with billing/insurance department responding to their requests

  • Scan insurance checks

  • Accounts Payable

  • Answering Phones

  • Schedule patients, answer questions, prepare schedule for the following days making sure, insurance, medical history, procedures scheduled, balances, etc. are input in patient's account.

Job Qualities:

  • 3-5 years experience in dentistry front desk.

  • Knowledgeable in dental insurance.

  • His/her image must project authority to patients.

  • Not afraid of asking for balances to be paid.

  • Comfortable with answering and calling on the telephone.

  • Experience in sales (Treatment plans, dental products, offer finance options.).

  • Mature behavior (calm, poised, respectful).

  • Empathetic with patients being aware of the rules and goals of the office.

  • Goal oriented.

  • Experience with Eaglesoft software.

  • Willing to deal with imperfections and changes that happen in a growing and expanding office.

  • Open to learning.

  • Organized.

  • Self-motivated

  • Team player.

  • Comfortable working with computers and managing multiple dental software.

  • Able to multitask.

  • Attention to detail.

Experience -

3-5 years experience in dentistry front desk. Experience in sales (Treatment plans, dental products, offer finance options). Experience with Eaglesoft software.
