Summary

This role manages environmental compliance for a manufacturing facility. You'll ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local environmental requirements, while also supporting sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll play a key role in upholding a commitment to safety and responsible manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to ensure compliance with environmental regulations governing facility operations.
  • Maintain ISO 14001 registration standards and support efforts for additional certifications
  • Manage hazardous materials transportation, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations.
  • Support safety compliance programs for both the manufacturing facility and corporate offices/labs.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and facilitate cross-training.
  • Demonstrate effective project management skills.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through clear communication and data-driven reporting.
  • Foster collaboration with various departments.
  • Make decisions that prioritize success.
  • Deliver high-quality reports that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to inquiries.
  • Champion innovative opportunities and contribute to new product development (if applicable).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university.
  • Chemical industry experience is a plus
  • Prior experience in environmental compliance and/or sustainability.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
  • Financial acumen a plus.
