Structural Engineer’s responsibilities will include performing and managing simple and complex analysis, design, and documentation of various structures with emphasis on marine structures (bulkheads, piers, mooring/breasting dolphins) and pile supported foundations. Engineer will conduct field investigation and construction phase observations, as required.

Functions & Responsibilities

• Perform design and analysis functions for various marine structures (bulkheads/retaining walls, mooring/breasting dolphins, platforms, pile foundations);

• Conduct assessments and evaluations of existing marine structures.

• Attend meetings with clients, jurisdictional agencies, other professionals, and organizations.

• Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule, and project constraints.

• Issue reports, schedules, estimates of probable costs, responses to SOIs, RFPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil (Structural or Geotechnical) Engineering.

• Minimum of 1-5 years of structural or geotechnical engineering experience.

• EIT or Valid Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.) in NJ, PA or DE. Additional state licensure a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong skills using hand calculations and computer-assisted design software required to perform engineering tasks.
• Familiarity with design and analysis using various materials including but not limited to steel, cast-in-place and pre-cast concrete, and timber.
• AutoCAD experience a plus.
