HireTalent - Diversity Staffing & Recruiting Firm is Hiring an Investment Associate (FP) #: 19-02915 Near Blue Bell, PA

Supports a Financial Advisor or Financial Advisor Team to further develop and service their client base by providing sales and marketing support in a consulting role. Develop and service certain or pre-identified client segments of an FA or FA Team client base (such as, related accounts, accounts with smaller asset bases, emerging investor accounts, etc. For example, accounts with assets less than $250,000 may be the principal responsibility of the Investment Associate. Fully paid by the FA. This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. Since your position requires SAFE Act registration, you will be required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process. Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position is designed to support Financial Advisors and assist in client relationship management.
Educational/Training RequirementsCollege degree, 5 years of financial services experience, 4 years previous Investment Associate or Wealth Management experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, And RegistrationSeries 7 and Series 66 or 65/63 and required Firm designations
Estate Planning & Asset Protection TechniquesThe job description outlined below entails the general responsibilities of this role. Global Commercial Bank (Asset based lending, Merchant card services, Treasury management, Building financing, Business succession financing, Foreign currency management ) Assist with submitting referrals, identify opportunities, and assist with the sales process Global Commercial Bank. Retail Lending /LMA/ Mortgages – overseeing work follow and close of business. Advising clients and team members directly. Evaluate lending options and finalize recommendations to present to clients.
Estate PlanningTrusts /FLPs/Gifting – working with clients, team, attorneys, and accountant's to help design strategies and oversee implementation of such.
Insurance/Annuities - communication with clients and team, organization of various policies, overseeing underwriting process, pushing through to close business.
Research – for all estate planning related matters, this includes understanding current laws, tax ramifications, strategies and working with team members inside and outside of Brokerage to offer best service and understanding to both clients and team members.
Financial PlanningRequirement Planning – gathering all the data to complete a comprehensive retirement projection for clients that can be monitored going forward.
Client Reviews – prepare for annual or semi-annual portfolio reviews for clients within assigned segment. Recommend necessary investment changes, inquire about any changes in financial life, follow up on any outstanding items from meeting, and place detailed notes in the Salesforce about what occurred.
Cash Flow – assist clients in gathering information to create a spending plan or budget. This information may also be incorporated in other financial planning analysis that is performed.
Asset Allocation – assist with evaluation of risk/return analysis in portfolio construction that is based on the client's risk tolerance and their financial objectives.
Net Worth Asset Summaries – using Firm approved technology to help client and attorneys.
ROTH conversions – assist with Roth conversion analysis, documents, and processing.
Education – understand the financial planning tools to create projections for education funding. Also understand the nuances of taxation for UGMA/UTMA accounts, ESAs, and 529 Plans.
InvestmentsInvestment Research (SMAs/Mutual Funds/ETFs/Portfolio construction/MLPA Models, Alternative Investments) – manage investment research projects to ensure team follows procedures for data gathering, analysis, communication of results, assist in managing portfolio construction for new and existing clients.
Portfolio Construction/Models - you are to assist in creating portfolios and models and to track performance to ensure that performance and risk measurements are being met.
Analysis of Outside Investments – oversee the analysis of new and existing client investments that are held outside. Summarize analysis for review and where applicable, summarize conclusions as compared to our offerings.
Economic Research - you are responsible for reading information from the Firm as well as outside sources on a daily basis. You are responsible for disseminating important and timely information to the team and/or the investment committee.
Strategy communication/ Strategy letters/Strategy summary charts – directly communicate investment strategies and recommendations to clients via method instructed (email/letter/memo). Ensure that outside professionals and individuals are copied on this correspondence as needed.
Administrative/Daily WorkflowTasking – you will be responsible for tasking a portion of workflow for your segment
Double Checking – you will be responsible for monitoring work flow and double checking items for accuracy and completion.
Deposits/Cash Balances – review list, monitor receipts and inform advisor in your segment.
Client Communications – you will be responsible for assisting with client communications for your segment.
Meeting Prep for a portion of Segmented Clients – you are to proactively check whether the client has any insurance or annuity holdings (the week prior to the client meeting or call) to allow time to research, etc.. You are to refer to the meeting prep chart for special notes or circumstances regarding the client's reporting. You are to provide CRRs, check for beneficiaries, note recommendations or action items. You are to provide the meeting prep to a senior team member for review as needed. All meeting prep should be given to the person holding the meeting or call at least 24 hours before hand
Yearend tax work – assist in compiling tax summaries, sort them into groups based on unrealized gain amounts and process tax loss sales as instructed.
Strategy implementation – oversee accurate implementation of investment strategies for new and existing clients.
New Client Tasking and Distribution of Documents for a portion of clients – when a new client submits their documents, task new accounts, task transfers, task investment enrollments, enter recurring review(s), enter CRR task when accounts begin trading, contact client by sending CRR or scheduling call
Assist IA to obtain quotes of new insurance business, submitting applications to begin underwriting process, tracking underwriting process, pushing through to close business
Practice ManagementTeam education/mentoring/training - working with junior team members as needed to enhance their knowledge or products and services. Step in to assist as needed to assure accurate project completion and efficient problem resolution.
Attitude - contribute to the team in a positive way, helps to promote an optimistic environment.
Risk ManagementYou are responsible for following the Firm's policies and protocols as it relates to your functions. You are also responsible for bringing to the attention of senior staff members should you be concerned about any issues or interactions with clients, coworkers, or management.
