Title: Project Controls Specialist
Location: Minneapolis, MN, 55401- Hybrid (Local candidates preferred, with expectations to report to the office at least once a week)

Job Description:
Must Have Skills :
Cost Accounting and Financial Skills:
5-7 years of experience in cost accounting, particularly within the construction industry or renewables (oil and gas industry experience is also relevant).
Proficiency in cost tracking, cost forecasting, and managing project financial health.
Strong experience with forecasting and accruals.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables, graphs, and preferably macros.
Experience with SAP (ECC) for reporting and data management.
Primavera P6, SAP Work and Asset Management
Project Management:
Familiarity with managing or supporting large-scale projects
Knowledge of both cost and scheduling aspects of project management (though this role focuses on cost).
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze project data, track financial health, and submit monthly forecasts and accruals.
Use of root cause analysis tools to solve complex project-related issues.
Preferred/ Nice to Have:
PMP

Energy Supply Projects:
Working on projects ranging from coal, gas, wind, solar, to battery energy generation.
Responsible for financial management of major energy generation projects.
Renewable Energy Initiatives:
Engaging with new and exciting initiatives within solar and wind renewables.
Overseeing financial aspects of constructing and maintaining renewable energy plants.
Major Infrastructure Projects:
Supporting infrastructure updates and new installations related to energy generation.
