Position: Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Overview:

The Senior DevOps Engineer plays a crucial role in designing, developing, testing, deploying, monitoring, and updating application release processes and pipelines. They automate and integrate development and infrastructure processes to ensure market opportunities are seized without compromising quality. Serving as a champion of DevOps culture, the ideal candidate fosters a cultural shift in the software delivery process, emphasizing automation, communication, and collaboration for iterative improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development and cross-functional teams to create operational roadmaps.
• Design and develop tool chains for managing and applying DevOps principles, including CI/CD automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) on Cloud-based systems.
• Introduce new frameworks to enhance team productivity.
• Define and implement development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations.
• Design and optimize a monitoring and alert system based on system metrics, log file analysis, and custom alert rules to maintain 99.99% availability SLA.
• Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization.
• Design, implement, and administer platform tools to support software product releases with AWS.

What Will Set You Apart:

• Security experience, including VPN, SSL, and collaboration with security advisors.
• Familiarity with Git workflows and branching strategies (e.g., GitOps, Git Flow).
• Data management experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, AWS RDS.
• Experience with reliability engineering, including monitoring, logging, and alerting.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline with 7 years of professional experience.
• 5 years of experience with tools/technologies such as Bash, Python, Java, Golang, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Kubernetes, Helm, Puppet, Chef, Ansible.
• Experience with AWS services such as VPC, Route53, IAM, S3, EC2.
• Experience with dev tools like yarn, NPM, GitHub, JIRA.
• Proficiency in containerization tools such as Kubernetes, Helm, Docker.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, communicate requirements and blockers effectively.
