Communications and Event Manager
Position Summary
This role supports the different departments of the organization in executing and monitoring communications strategies. This role involves creating marketing materials such as digital flyers in all formats, social media, blog posts, media requests and newsletters. This role also supports the organization's main events for the year. Responsibilities
-Design of all posters, flyers, brochures for program-related needs
-Work with the Engagement Director to create and execute Hispanic Center’s annual fundraising plan to ensure fundraising goals are being achieved.
-Support with the coordination of special events (Latinx Youth Conference, Hispanic Festival, La Posada, etc.).
-Support the Engagement Director with production and distribution of all major communications for partners and community such as press releases, donor appeal letters, thank you letters and annual reports, end of year appeal.
-Management and maintenance of donor database with the guidance of the Engagement Director.
-Accurately enter and maintain donor data, ensuring the timely processing and acknowledgment of all donor gifts. This includes preparing and sending thank-you letters, receipts, and other acknowledgment materials in accordance with organizational standards
-Support team as needed with community outreach activities, events, and promotion of Hispanic Center’s services and programs.-Attend professional development and networking opportunities that would lead to the increase of our unrestricted revenue for the organization.
-Develop and coordinate media content. This includes create engaging posts, hashtags, tagging, social media graphics, and video content for all social media accounts.-Track and analyze feedback from both social media platforms and in-person community interactions. Provide regular reports on community sentiment, engagement metrics, and any emerging trends to ensure the organization’s communications strategies align with community needs and interests.
-Maintain website content and make routine updates as necessary to ensure the site remains current and functional
-Lead and manage additional community outreach and engagement campaigns as needed, such as special initiatives or time-limited projects, ensuring successful execution and alignment with organizational goals-Facilitate online conversations with community and respond to queries.
-Support with creation and delivery of presentations on behalf of the Hispanic Center to create community awareness based on the request
-Management and recruitment of volunteers that will participate in different events. Coordination of volunteers will be in collaboration with Community Outreach Specialist.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree or two of years of equivalent experience.
-Demonstrate excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
-Proven experience with social media coordination. Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter, YouTube.
-Ability to maintain a flexible schedule with occasional evening and weekend hours.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
