You will supervise a team of Service Engineers and Service Technicians and contribute to the execution of the Service strategy and Service growth. Focusing on delivering timely, high-quality, cost-effective service offerings and solutions for customers. You’ll deliver Service achievements through effective planning and allocation of resources, in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines. Plus, drive and monitor the overall Service execution from the agreed terms of schedule, quality, cost, margin, and overall customer satisfaction. Performance Targets Allocates, drives, and monitors work on Service jobs based on order content, delivery time, competencies, and workload. Effectively utilizes available resources through proper planning and scheduling to meet delivery targets (e.g., OTD, response time, ordered service offerings, update of installed based data). 2. Customer Approach Ensures continuous communication with the customer. Collaborates within local service units and with other service teams to promote one Hitachi Energy approach towards customers. Builds sustainable customer relationships to ensure local client growth, satisfaction, and retention together with Sales. Drives consistent development of processes and practices. 3. Operational Excellence Drives continuous service productivity improvement activities in the assigned service team in collaboration with the Operations Manager. Utilises efficient resource planning tools and software to streamline service processes and applications to support the customer. Ensures the transfer of Service findings to the product/system local units for improvement of their offerings. Ensures service work assignments are accurately classified as warranty or non-warranty status and develop a reporting process for this. 4. Health, Safety, and Integrity Ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental directives, and ensures instructions and regulations are implemented well within the team (including subcontractors), while monitoring and reporting progress and results. Assesses risks and safety hazards and implements actions to ensure people and equipment safety. 5. Team Supervision and Development Ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organised, resourced and supervised. Ensures all Field Service team members are certified in line with global certification and local regulations. Reviews competence levels to ensure each Service Technician and Engineer (including subcontractors) is appropriately qualified to handle jobs assigned to them. Your Background You will be an experienced Field Service Manager with operational specialism in High Voltage Service Proven experience as a team manager of Service technicians and engineers with a willingness to be hands on operationally in the field. Flexible to work remotely at site and able to commute to the Stone office for team meetings and collaboration with internal stakeholders. Able to multitask and handle pressure with a solution focused mind set. A skilled trouble shooter who can diffuse situations with resolution strategies. Customer focused and a high degree of integrity and a team player who will go the extra mile. A time served and qualified Engineer with a depth of knowledge gained from hands on experience in the field and therefore able to coach and guide the Service Engineering team having been in their shoes and having the empathy and understanding to relate to them and set clear goals and expectations.
