Hitachi Energy is in search of a Production Scheduler for their Jefferson City, MO factory. The role involves creating a detailed production schedule from the production plan, optimizing resource utilization, and adhering to set production specifications and timelines. The scheduler will also identify bottlenecks and implement suitable measures to ensure the delivery of a feasible schedule to the factory.

Your Responsibilities:

• Production schedule - From the production plan creates and maintains detailed production schedule.

• Work orders - Releases manufacturing work orders. Executes daily, plant-level materials requirement planning (MRP) to create and manage production requirements to meet the production delivery schedules.

• Sequencing - Establishes sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipment dates per the master schedule/plan obtained from the Production Planners.

• Schedule adherence - Monitors schedule adherence, identifies key root causes for deviation and takes follow-up improvement action.

• Reports information on production capacity issues and material availability impacting schedules to production and materials managers.

• Manages MRP (Materials Resource Planning) exception messages on a daily basis. Working with local production and purchasing managers to resolve issues.

• Calculates and maintains in the ERP planning systems inventory parameters for: safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead-time, and replenishment strategies for make to stock items

• Supports cycle counting and/or year-end inventory counting. Conducts root case analysis when necessary to resolve stock loses

• Works with buyers to resolve material shortages and understand when incoming materials are to be received.

• Works with customer service to provide appropriate delivery dates.

Your Background:

• Bachelor's degree and two (2) or more years of experience.

• OR Associate's degree and four (4) or more years of experience.

• OR High School Diploma/GED and six (6) or more years of experience

• Ability to work cross-functionally within a global value chain

• Independent analysis/decision-making capabilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel

• Employs root cause analysis approach

• Strong customer focus and deliver of quality products.

• Preferred SAP or similar ERP experience in MM and PP module

• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
