Job Purpose:

The Quality Supervisor will provide direct supervision, leadership, training and coordination of activities for the assigned work shift. The Quality Supervisor will manage the assigned Quality Team Members in accordance with HL Mando policies and procedures.

 Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):

• Direct the enforcement of safety practices to accomplish a safe working environment.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through active promotion of the HL Mando Quality Policy. Assure that the department is following established policies/procedures/work instructions/etc. Assure that all prescribed records and documents are completed and maintained.
• Meet production and quality Key Performance Indicator targets provided by Management.
• Accomplish 100% on time delivery to customer through effective planning, prioritizing, and coordinating.
• Manage Team Member working time and PTO requests in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain and actively participate in effective communication with all related teams and management regarding Quality/Production information.
• Provide Leadership to the QC Team:
  • Foster a proper working environment through fair, consistent, and respectful treatment of employees.
  • Strive to develop a positive attitude on the shop floor
  • Instill mindset of teamwork and cooperation among Team Members
  • Lead by example
• Regularly communicate expectations to Team Members and provide evaluations of performance.
• Enforce compliance of company policies using tools such as verbal/written counseling’s or corrective actions.
• Actively participate in Budget allocation for assigned work centers in order to make sure all tools/supplies needed for Quality team.
• Manage and execute 5S and other housekeeping activities to achieve and maintain excellence.
• Work with Quality Engineers/Management to develop, review, and revise operational and working practices and observe Team Members to ensure compliance.
• Regularly Audit the Production/Quality process to ensure compliance of company policies and procedures.
• Ability to learn how to perform QC Team Members roles and perform in case of absences.

 Qualifications:

B.S. Degree preferred, but not required. Comparable industrial experience will be considered.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a fast paced Manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of basic Quality Tools (Root cause analysis, 8-D, 5-whys, PDCA, etc.)

Ability to be able to stand/walk the shop floor during the working shift time.

 Technical Competencies:

• Strong computer skills (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to learn how to utilize relevant aspects of HL Mando G-MES computer system.
• Ability to learn how to operate, maintain and trouble shoot Quality test equipment.
• Ability to obtain HL Mando forklift certification.

• Strong organizational skills and planning ability

 Supervisory Responsibility:

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the direct Supervision of HL Mando QC shop floor Team Members.

The Quality Supervisor has the authority to interrupt production in order to prevent the manufacturing of a defective product.

Position Work Schedule:

The standard working hours for this position is Sunday – Thursday 8:30 PM until 6:30 AM. Overtime and Weekend work may be required depending on customer demand.
