1. Follows department/organization processes for developing, implementing and maintaining various manufacturing plans, Bills of Material, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration ensuring customer and regulatory requirements are met.
2. Reviews and interprets customer specifications, blue prints and other related technical specifications to ensure requirements are translated to work product.
3. Supports more senior personnel in the development and study of manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
4. Completes specifications and requirements for procured commodities to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
5. Develops basic tooling requirements and supports tooling development efforts for simple end items based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
6. Investigates and resolves routine manufacturing related issues.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Associate degree or 2 years of experience working as a planner in an aircraft manufacturing environment required.
2. Aircraft structures assembly experience preferred.
3. Ability to read and understand blue prints.
4. Ability to apply basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
5. Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers; listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed.
 6. Proficient knowledge of and be able to operate the software and equipment used in the department. Software includes but is not limited to Microsoft Word. Computer skills must include ability to type and manage files.
7. Ability to identify proper materials and supplies according to specifications.
8. Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.
9. Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions.
10. Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted.
11. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and work within deadlines.
12. Must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement).
