What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Application Developer position at HMSA?
- Assists in the project planning process with team members, sometimes with clients and business analysts.
- Assists in the development of work plan timelines. May manage workflows to meet sub-project timeframes.
- Participate in the identification of system requirements.
- Complies with architecture processes, principles, policies and standards.
- Design components for small solutions.
- Develop technical specifications for applications. Makes recommendations for the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
- Complies with quality standards and procedures.
- Develops or modifies application components using disciplined software development processes.
- Utilizes current data guidelines.
- Utilizes middleware tools for designing and developing solutions when required.
- Documents new or modified components and testing activities/results.
- Provides ongoing maintenance of applications.
- Analyze existing applications to identify and document opportunities for improvements.
- Makes components production ready by moving them to libraries, completing forms, following procedures, completing version control documents, etc.
- Assists in providing Tier II (application) support.
- Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.
