Job Summary

The Parts Manager manages the parts inventory at the Shop.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures proper inventory control so that the parts inventory is at the proper levels.
• In coordination with the Service Manager, manages the parts’ budget.
• Orders parts as needed to ensure timely delivery.
• Stocks parts when delivered.
• Handles parts requests from technicians.
• Manages warranty bins.
• Communicates as necessary with vendors regarding parts’ quality, delivery, etc.
• Orders parts as necessary ensuring proper inventory levels.
• Evaluates vendors ensuring the highest quality parts at the most cost effective prices.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
• Strong customer service and phone etiquette skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in Excel and the internet
