Job Title: Service Technician

Hoglund Bus Company – a Division of North Central International, LLC, is a full-service dealership with locations in Bloomington, MN, Monticello, MN and Marshalltown, Iowa. Hoglund Bus is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and offers new and used busses, service and parts.

The Service Technician is responsible for performing diagnoses and repairs of most vehicle components with little supervision required, complete inspections and preventative maintenance and keep accurate records.

Salary Range: Pay dependent on experience

Duties:

· Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged components.

· Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.

· Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.

· Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.

· Keeps and maintains accurate records, repair orders, warranty claims, etc.

· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.

Skills and Qualifications:

· Must have technical school training or on-the-job experience

· Must have own tools

· Must be able to lift/move up to 100 pounds, stand, climb, crouch, kneel and perform other essential physical demands to the job

· Valid CDL preferred, or ability to obtain a CDL

· Valid Drivers License

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
