Public Health Nurse II-Immunization Program Coordinator/Postpartum-Newborn Home Visit Nurse

Duties: The Immunization Coordinator is responsible for managing the Immunization Program and postpartum and newborn home visit assessments. The Immunization Program Coordinator follows established CDC, federal, state, and local guidelines. The coordinator is responsible for vaccine management, to include ordering, storing, daily inventory counts and monitors temperature controls for vaccine storage. Other duties include home visits to postpartum women and newborns to assess physical, mental, and social status. The Immunization Patient Coordinator shall perform duties in all public health clinical areas to include basic and specialized patient care and treatment, screening, counseling, education, referral and follow-up. Performs professional nursing duties related to clinical management of patients throughout the lifecycle.

Minimum Education: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation and one year of public health experience; or graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and two years of professional nursing experience, one of which must have been in public health; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Public Health Program Coordinator experience preferred. Must have a current license to practice as an RN in the state of North Carolina.

Salary Range: Grade 73 $59,318 to $65,476
