Holder, Padgett, Littlejohn Prickett, LLC is seeking a full-time paralegal for its Charleston, SC office. The paralegal will practice in the field of Workers' Compensation Defense and will also provide some general administrative assistance.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Filing
• Answering phones / taking messages
• Copying
• Faxing
• Scanning
• Sorting Mail
• Organize records
• Schedule depositions
• Review, analyze and draft legal documents and correspondence
• Prepare medical summaries
• Assist with preparation, requests and responses to discovery items/ subpoenas
• Research
• Communicate and correspond with adjusters, witnesses and other attorney’s offices
• Identify deadlines and calendar accordingly

Qualifications and Skills

• Workers' Compensation experience preferred
• Paralegal Associates Degree preferred
• Experience in billing & tracking time.
• MUST have excellent communication & prioritizing skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with case management and billing software is preferred
• Detail Oriented
• Able to manage a large caseload in a fast-paced environment and be pro-active with caseload
• Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Self-Motivated individual willing to take direction from senior paralegal and learn quickly
