Holiday Inn Twin Falls is Hiring a Restaurant Server Near Twin Falls, ID

This position is responsible for achieving and maintaining customer service and product quality standards for the delivery of foods and beverages to our guests. The duties of this position have a great impact on the guests’ dining experience.

This position experiences the most direct contact with diners in the restaurant. Therefore, a pleasant, friendly,accommodating attitude is key to the best guest experience. This position must have and maintain the skill, knowledge and ability to execute the job with experience all while maintaining personal safety while executing daily tasks.
Additional duties may include cleaning restaurant areas, emptying trash receptacles, stocking and organizing inventory (for example,glassware, dishware, flatware, cooking utensils and equipment, etc.) all according to operating standards. All safety protocols to be maintained, especially when handling sharp objects such as knives or hot/heated equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be available to work flexible hours based upon business needs.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
  • Firm and simple grasping is required in all aspects of work.
  • Bending and/or stooping is required.
  • Standing and walking is required on a continuous basis; sitting is limited to short breaks.
  • Reaching is required up to 80% of the time and may be combined with other activities such as pushing, pulling and bending in all phases of work; overhead reaching is required.
  • Crouching and kneeling are required for approximately 10% to 15% of the time, particularly when cleaning the cabinet, floor and storage areas.
  • Pushing and pulling actions are required in excess of 60% of the time for preparing, delivering and moving supplies, etc.
  • Lifting of supplies occurs on a regular basis, usually not more than 25 pounds, but occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Crawling is limited.
  • Climbing of stairs may be required.

Major Duties

  • Greet and seat customers; take food and beverage orders from customers; serving the orders and accommodating special needs/requests.
  • Make customers feel welcome and comfortable; anticipate and accommodate customer needs.
  • Remain attentive to the customers throughout the entire dining experience, adhering to or exceeding service standards as established by the restaurant at all times.
  • Memorize menu items, recipes and daily specials in order to answer questions and make recommendations to customers.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards in restaurant, wait-station and kitchen service areas in order to have a clean,presentable and attractive facility and to satisfy state and local health board requirements.
  • Control allocated guest checks by following established check use procedures and legibly documenting all required information as the customer’s order is taken and processed.
  • Receive proper payment from customer and ensure accuracy of guest check and method of payment in order to safeguard customer and company.
  • Attend all pre-meal and departmental meetings in person in order to enhance communication and gain knowledge of products, service and facility.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and comments in person, where possible; provide timely and knowledgeable information in order to provide quality customer service.
  • Clear, clean, and buss tables and surrounding dining areas.
  • Vacuum customer dining areas and restaurant common areas.
  • Present a clean and professional appearance at all times.
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Follow and adhere to food safety and quality regulations.
  • Perform essential job functions in accordance with local health department codes, standards and regulations.
  • Always adhere to safety guidelines of the hotel, including wearing protective clothing and equipment, as needed.
  • Always represent the hotel and restaurant in a positive manner; SMILE.
