Mission:
To compassionately provide care for pets and their owners by utilizing innovative healthcare modalities that produce results.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Senior Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Take and develop X-rays
- Collection of laboratory samples and perform laboratory tests/analyze results
- Provide nursing care to postoperative and outpatient animals
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
Skills:
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior
- Assist with medical procedures and administering medications
- Ability to operate veterinary equipment such as X-ray machines and laboratory instruments
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary team members
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals
-Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with veterinarians and other staff members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
-Restraint of the aggressive and non-aggressive patient using appropriate safety equipment
Pay:
Starting $16 per hour-more based on experience and training
We offer competitive compensation based on experience and education.
