The Sr. Preconstruction Manager provides overall direction and leadership for the collaborative preconstruction process and deliverable. Proactively identifies and resolves complex scopes of work and budgets. Maintains and builds positive working relationships with trade partners, clients, and project teams. What You'll Do
Proactively leads, communicates, and coordinates and the preconstruction process to provide accurate costs, constructability, and scheduling information to the client and HCS Team.
Builds relationships with key design partners, trade partners, project developers, owners, and architects.
Interfaces with the client to understand their needs and incorporate those needs in all budgets and related documentation.
Able to deliver competitive bids, negotiated proposals and budgetary cost opinions.
Creates conceptual budgets. Past experience with Industrial, Manufacturing, Warehousing and Distribution is highly recommended.
Prepares estimate deliverables and presentation books for clients during various states of the preconstruction process.
Reviews and assigns scope packages to team members on pre-construction efforts
Contributes to the assembly and maintenance of project cost history records.
Follows up on due diligence issues including permits, financing, and regulatory approvals.
Assists with development and implementation of department policies and procedures.
What You'll Need
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related degree and 8-10 years of experience OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Experience with Industrial projects such as Manufacturing, Cold Storage and Warehouse & Distribution is highly recommended.
