Cashier/ Customer Service Clerk Job Summary

• Operates cash register to accept payment for merchandise or services.

Cashier/ Customer Service Clerk Accountabilities

• Greets customers.
• Receives payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
• Issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customers.
• Counts money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
• Calculates total payments received during a time period, and reconciles this with total sales.
• Assist the manager with various clerical duties as needed.
• Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints.
• Operate telephone system.
• Be friendly, professional, courteous and efficient when working with al customers and employees.
• Maintains clean and orderly checkout area.
• No weekends.
