It is the responsibility of an Engineer IV to perform complex maintenance and repair work on all mechanical, electrical, food and beverage equipment and building systems within the property while performing excellent guest service.

- Repair and maintenance of all food and beverage equipment on property

- Must be able to thoroughly read drawings/blue prints and schematics drawings including one line drawings

- Must be self-motivated, with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

- Ability to multi-task several activities and duties simultaneously

- Ability to function in a fast paced environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines

- Excellent communication skills

- Understand and comply with all Company and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures

- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff

- Ability to read, write and communication verbally in English

- Ability to perform intermediate math

- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

- Performs complex maintenance and repair work on all mechanical and electrical equipment and building automation systems. 

- Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner

- Develop appropriate preventative maintenance tasks and schedule for the equipment within their chosen trade discipline

- Oversee and track the PM tasks to ensure necessary tasks are being completed on schedule

- Document all parts used and parts needed

- Advises supervisor of any unusual conditions

- Performs assigned duties during emergency situations

- Maintains a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention

- Acts as a mentor for Maintenance Trainees and works with them to log their hours

- Responds effectively to guest inquiries related to Hollywood Casino at Greektown and the downtown Detroit area providing excellent guest service

- Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refers the matter to management

- Notifies supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft

- Performs other job-related duties as assigned outside of their actual trade

- Ability to oversee and run a crew of trades for a project and or outside contractors concurrently with day to day function

- In the absence of a Shift Manager or lead engineer the Engineer IV will be responsible for carrying the shift phone, responding to calls and assigning tasks to other engineers as necessary

- May require ability to drive pick-up truck and snow removal equipment

- Completes all jobs assigned by management
