What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Substance Abuse Counselor position at Holt Assessment Services, LLC?
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) or Certified Alcohol Addiction Counselor (CADC): The CSAC/CADC is responsible for providing confidential addiction counseling, education, and support to individuals, families, and community promoting healthy lifestyles and healthy choices. The CSAC/CADC will assist individuals in overcoming addiction issues, adjusting to life, and making changes. The CSAC/CDAC will complete and maintain accurate records and reports regarding the individuals' histories and progress, services provided, and other required information. The CSAC/CADC will teach coping mechanisms and assist in locating resources to help me individuals serve needs. The CSAC/CADC will attend weekly staff meetings and monthly supervision to increase knowledge and skills.
NC certification as CSAC/CADC preferred but will consider NC LCAS or NC LCAS-A.
