What You'll Do as a CDL Utility Construction Laborer
As a CDL Utility Construction Laborer at Holtger Bros. Inc., you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep you on your toes and engaged. From transporting and loading equipment to operating machinery like excavators and backhoes, your day-to-day will be dynamic and hands-on. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in securing job sites, locating existing utilities, and completing restoration work once the project is finished.
Physical Challenges of the Role
This role is physically demanding, requiring you to be on your feet for 8-10 hours each day. Tasks such as digging trenches, shoveling dirt and gravel, and handling cables will keep you active and engaged throughout your workday.
Requirements for Success
To excel in this role, you must be willing to travel throughout the State of WI, primarily in southern WI, from Monday to Friday. A Class A CDL is preferred, but entry-level positions are available for those with a standard driver's license. Additionally, having an insurance-acceptable driving record is essential for this position.
