## Overview
We are seeking a leader that does not mind doing dirty work. We’re currently interviewing for a Lead Kennel Assistant to join our team. In addition to working well with others, taking instruction from upper management, and eventually leading other team members, you must be willing to work cleaning kennel, including disposing of and cleaning up after animal waste.

THIS IS NOT A ROLE WHERE YOU WILL INTERACT WITH ANIMALS. It may be months before you interact with even a single animal, and even at that point interactions may be far and few between. This role is custodial and managerial in nature. You are cleaning animal waste, running food and water, helping to maintain a clean and proper environment.

We’re looking for folks who are passionate about giving animals their second or third chance at a good life, and doing the hard work that is necessary to keep their environment clean and lead others on the team in that effort.

## Responsibilities

- Assist in the daily cleaning of animal kennel facility

- adhere to strict feeding, watering, and cleaning schedules

- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and animal holding areas

- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the owners

- Interact with guests who visit (customer service), providing updates on their pets' well-being

## Skills
- Experience in a kennel, veterinary, or custodial environment is preferred

- Ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary

- Customer service skills for interacting with staff and patrons
