JOB DESCRIPTION QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST REPORTS TO: Director of Nursing (DON) JOB SUMMARY: Coordinates in conjunction with DON and other health team members, all quality improvement activities. Ensures quality and safe delivery of health care services, adhering to organization’s goals and philosophies, State/Local/Federal and Accreditation Standards and Guidelines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reviews clinical records to be audited on a regular basis as per agency QA/QI program, and documents findings on agency approved audit forms. Identifies and resolves deviations from Home Care Standards. Maintains confidentiality on all information as required by HIPAA, Privacy Rules. Conducts self in a professional manner at all times and in all situations. Participates in agency’s meetings and attends educational in-services.

QUALIFICATIONS: • If not a licensed professional, employee must present proof of at least one (1) year experience in quality improvement in the healthcare field. • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills. • Knowledge of Home Health Regulatory Policies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34,133.51 - $42,107.02 per year
