Caregiver Responsibilities
The most important and rewarding responsibility you'll have as a Home Instead caregiver is to develop a meaningful relationship with your client. We keep seniors safe, comfortable and engaged at home with:

• Companionship and conversation
• Hands-on assistance with activities of daily living, including ambulation, bathing, dressing and toileting
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Transportation for errands and appointments
• Medication reminders
• Specialized care like dementia and hospice support

To work for Home Instead, you must:

• Demonstrate a passion for working with seniors with relevant caregiving experience
• Be a good listener and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Pass a criminal background check, MVA check and drug screen
• Provide references for your caregiving ability
• Live in or adjacent to Harford and/or Cecil County
• Possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and valid auto insurance
• Maintain good physical health, with the ability to lift 25 lbs
• Have current negative TB / PPD test (cannot be more than one year old)
