POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Partners is seeking a Scheduler who will provide excellent service to patients and referring physicians. This person will be accountable for scheduling patients efficiently and in a timely manner. This person will also exercise professional judgment in performance of services in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Schedule, re-schedule, and cancel all exams as necessary

· Accurately enter registration demographics into patient information system the registration demographics as directed by the practice’s procedures on new patients and verify information on existing patients

· Screen patients for radiology/imaging procedures by obtaining necessary medical information listed on clinical forms

· Verify insurance eligibility and pre-authorization status as needed

· Help to maintain patient satisfaction

· Understand and comply with all HIPPAA protocol and procedures

· Inform patients of preps as necessary, request test results and prior study information

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· High school diploma or equivalent work experience

· Previous medical office experience, knowledge of medical terminology

· Basic computer and data entry experience

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
