Position Summary

Radiology Partners is currently seeking an experienced Senior Practice Director to join our team of practice management professionals. This role is a unique opportunity to help build and lead a growing practice in a large healthcare market. In addition, it is an outstanding opportunity for the practice management professional who desires a broader business consultative role by servicing hospital-based physician groups and mentoring, training, and leading a management team. As the Senior Practice Director, you will act as the primary relationship manager and leader for our physician client groups. The Senior Practice Director provides strategic direction to achieve operational success, and meets quality, physician satisfaction, productivity, and financial goals, as well as service excellence in patient care. The Sr Practice Director will engage as a team lead and mentor a staff of management professionals, including Practice Directors, Practice Managers, and clinical support staff. You will be responsible for building effective, service driven relationships and providing innovative business and clinical solutions to complex matters in our practice. The Senior Practice Director is responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership, ensuring the delivery of quality care and customer satisfaction of the practice.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and improves workflow. Analyzes data reports and provides action plans for Practice Directors and Practice Managers on significant trends influencing overall effectiveness of clinical operations within areas of responsibility. Develops and implements cost-effective operational strategies. Develops operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and maximum productivity. Works with physicians and RVP, Operations to define standards of excellence and quality for all services; ensures that standards are met at a reasonable cost.
  • Lead and continue to create a premier local radiology practice
  • Lead and partner with physicians and business development staff to grow strategically in the state’s market
  • Ensuring effective ownership and/or delegation of Radiologist scheduling including matching radiologist capacity to current and projected volume; ensuring full coverage w/o gaps based on licensing/credentialing and subspecialty; identifying and resolving potential problems before they arise and solving scheduling problems if they arise
  • Coordinating new radiologist hiring (work with HR, IT, Legal and Local Team)
  • Optimization and coordination of radiologist licensing and credentialing
  • Management of new physician onboarding
  • Monitoring of quality management programs
  • Implementation and communication of new quality management programs
  • Assisting to maximize radiologist billing compliance
  • Regular meetings with all practice clients (hospitals, clinics, and outpatient imaging centers) DocuSign Envelope
  • Monitoring key practice metrics, and implementing programs to improve where needed
  • Developing and adhering to the practice budget
  • Working closely with the Regional IT Director and with the Radiology Partners national IT team with regards to implementing and supporting IT systems
  • Supporting a productive, team-oriented environment for our radiologists
  • Consistent local practice communication (communicate key issues and initiatives to our radiologists)
  • Schedule and run group and key radiologist internal meetings
  • Active and ongoing engagement with the contracted facilities (hospital, imaging centers, referring Physicians) to include radiology department leadership as well as the C-suite

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and graduate degree (MHA or MBA, etc.) is a plus
  • 7 years prior experience in healthcare provider management, including 3 years in radiology practice management
  • Demonstrated track record delivering operations results, with clear orientation to detail, follow-through, mastery of complex process, and improvisational problem-solving
  • Comfort navigating complex corporate structures, preferably prior experience with the RP organization
  • Strong time management: ability to prioritize smartly, anticipate of problems, plan team time, and juggle workstreams of different urgency levels
  • Comfort reviewing, editing, and managing legal contracts
  • Strong client-facing verbal and written communications
  • Excellent emotional intelligence including self-management
  • Executive presence and leadership demeanor, even in the face of adversity
  • Comfort building and sustaining client relationships in healthcare provider contexts
  • Preferably, skills with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBI/Tableau, QGenda, radiology PACS systems (eg, Intelerad) and worklist systems (eg, Clario)
