Job Description: As the Area Director of Sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue and maximizing sales opportunities for both the Residence Inn by Marriott Atlanta Lenox Park and the Home2 Suites by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Center. You will lead a dynamic sales team, develop strategic initiatives, and foster strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and maximize market share.
2. Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to exceed targets and deliver exceptional results.
3. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
4. Collaborate with revenue management teams to optimize pricing strategies and enhance profitability.
5. Conduct regular market analysis and competitor benchmarking to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
6. Oversee the development of compelling sales collateral and promotional materials to support sales efforts.
7. Represent the properties at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and foster relationships.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
2. Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
3. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
4. Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
5. Deep understanding of the local market and industry trends.
6. Proficiency in sales and revenue management software (e.g., Salesforce, Opera).
7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
