Homemakers is looking to add a Design and Sales Consultant to our amazing Sales Team.

Position Summary:
Responsible for planning, designing, and furnishing interior environments of residential homes.
Essential Position Accountabilities:

• Consults with clients to determine style preferences, lifestyle choices, the scope of the project investment plan, and other factors.
• Provide in-store design services while considering measurements, looking at traffic patterns, natural lighting, furniture, and accessories needs.
• Advises client on interior design factors such as space planning, layout, furnishings, and color schemes.
• Construct design presentations with digital floor plan, including estimates, for clients approval.
• Order furnishings, art works, area rugs, and accessories for client homes.
• Effectively and efficiently process orders utilizing the computer system.
• Professionally interact with customers, coworkers, managers, and other departments.
• Monthly tracking of customer sales and personal goals.
• Maintain a professional, positive manner and appearance at all times.
• Perform follow-through initiatives for customer satisfaction.
• Self-driven to continuously increase customer base.
• Work with social media to help influence additional in-store sales.
• Occasional attendance at events targeting the designer client base.
• Provide feedback to management regarding efficiency, safety, productivity, etc.
• Follow all operational and safety procedures.
• The above responsibilities and additional duties may vary as assigned.

Education/Work Experience Required:

• 3-5 years of experience in sales or related field.
• Broad knowledge of furniture and furniture styles.
• Degree in interior design or equivalent experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/renderings and documents.

• Ability to think creatively providing customers with the best solution for them.
• Analytical skills to problem solve and offer alternative solutions to customers.
• Ability to organize work efficiently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
