Overview:

We are seeking dedicated Restaurant Staff to join our team. If you have a passion for the culinary arts and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to have you on board. Our new location in East Greenwich is opening in July and we are excited to be creating a new team for this location. There will be opportunities to assist with various regional food truck events.

Duties:

• Performing any and all duties to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant and/or food truck
• Ensuring food safety, quality and accuracy of orders
• Serving food and beverages promptly
• Effectively handling guests' needs and/or complaints
• Managing online deliveries and troubleshooting order issues
• Opening/closing cash drawer and accurate cash handling in Square POS system
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and restrooms
• Completing opening and closing checklists
• Ensuring dining room, kitchen, and bathrooms are clean and well-stocked at all times
• Managing inventory, ensuring managers are informed when products get low
• Assist with food prep
• Overseeing proper product preparation, rotation (FIFO), portioning, cooking and holding times, and refrigeration logs
• Ensuring that health and safety standards are followed at all time

Skills:

• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Culinary knowledge to assist in food preparation when needed
• Familiarity with Square POS or similar restaurant management software
• Understanding of retail math for cash handling purposes
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a restaurant setting

Qualifications:

• Two years of experience in the restaurant industry
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication skills and a friendly disposition
• Thorough understanding of poké ingredients and an ability to articulate our menu offerings after initial training
• Punctual and reliable – tardiness and missed shifts are not tolerated
• Ability to remain calm and work quickly when there is a rush of customers
• Availability to work during store hours (daily 10am-9pm)
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• ServSafe certified strongly preferred (required for managers)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Driver's license and a good driving record (if wanting to drive the food truck)
• Demonstrates time management, initiative and proactive skills
• Flexible availability with the opportunity to assist with external events and catering with our Food Trucks
• Strong cash handling skills, preferred knowledge of Square POS system
• Knowledgeable in food safety regulations and preparations
